Second step in the process of building an Internet presence is site building. This is normally done by using a site building packages like MS FrontPage or Macromedia Dream weaver.

Many types of sites:

If your site is static and involves basic programming the above mentioned tools would suffice. For major database driven sites, applications like ASP.NET, Java, etc can be used. We are focusing here on building small personal sites and portals using frontpage.

There are sites that contain 10 or 15 pages or less to sites that contain possibly millions of pages and major database servers behind it. Web and its reach is so vast no single guide can cover even a portion of the possibilities out there.

A Site is normally built locally on your home or business PC using the above mentioned packages and is then exported to the web hosting facility and thereby to the Internet.
