The food fest inaugurated on 14th January by the forest minister added the much awaited spice to the festival. The baby marine ground was filled with aroma of Biriyanies and other exotic delicacies.
The city dwellers had the chance to taste the Japan, Thai, Arabian, Chinese, north Indian, and continental dishes at the fest. Varieties of biriyanies and Malabar Mapila cuisines were the major attraction of the fest. A total of 25 prominent hotels and food producers and distributors had put up stalls. Hotels such as Alakapuri, Fortune, Shasthapuri, Beach Hotel, Acharyas canteen, Kadavu resort, Taj residency, Kovilakam Residency, Renaissance, Malabar Gate and and Hyson Heritage were some of the participants.
Above all these splendors, the KTDC and the Kudumbashree Kaipunya Vanitha Canteen had organized a ‘payasam special’and the Asma Towers had organized the ‘Kutanadan Nadan Fest’. A Jugal Bandi was organized on the opening day of the fest and a two- hour variety entertainment was organized every day to enthrall the public.
