Another item on the festivals menu that was widely appreciated was the ‘snow park’.
An entirely new experience for the local people, the snow park was created to give a first hand experience of the chilling altitudes and was admired by everyone here. The event attracted a great crowd right from the day of inauguration on January 8th to the day it was packed up on January 12th. The park set in 900 square feet on the Apsara ground needed about 27 tonne Ice to build the artificial Antarctica in Calicut
Three machines were set to create the artificial snowfall. The park was built in the open to make it look as real as possible.
