Nehru family has always been a strong influence among Indian people at large. We have had many great idols since Nehru from this family such as Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi. All of them had enjoyed immense affection from common men irrespective of their caste, creed, politics, or philosophy.

Whenever a new star rises from this dynasty, ambitious rival politicians lose their sleep. Rahul Gandhi is going ahead with his India tour by shaking the pillars of U.P chief minister Mayavati’s Dalit bastion.

His charisma, style of mingling with the mob, attracted many. The gatherings of mob often became a challenge to security personnel. Since the beginning of campaign, Rahul warned the U.P government’s poor functioning in tribal welfare. Mayavati made an attack on Rahul by alleging that he was using a special soap for cleansing himself after mingling with poor tribal people. That was the beginning. Rahul however continued his energetic campaign surprising all. He had taken food with poor Dalits. He hugged the tribal children. He asked their problems; promised many things. He even slept in small Dalit huts, creating great headaches to his special security personnel!

Things turned more serious when he made a strong warning to Mayavati. He even challenged the officials who delayed or ruined the welfare schemes for poor men. He marched to the office of Jhansi administration along with a mob consisting majority tribal including women and children. He questioned the administration for the non-implementation of job guarantee scheme.

No wonder, Mayavati got agitated. She even cautioned the withdrawal of support to U.P.A ministry. She alleged his deeds as Congress political drama.

What is the political drama of Rahul? it is not very clear what she means. She alleged that Congress was responsible for recent price rise of essential commodities. She asked him to solve that problem first. As a C.M, Mayavati has the responsibility to make sure the implementation of welfare schemes. Is it proper that she attack Rahul instead of ordering an enquiry on the issue that affects tribal folk?

Rahul Gandhi is trying to vitalize the party, especially the Youth Congress and Student’s wing. He is the All India Congress General Secretary and M.P from Amethi of Uttar Pradesh. Above all he has showed his sincerity and responsibility as a political leader.

As a senior women leader, Mayawati could have shown more maturity. Besides this, Rahul didn’t speak a word against her personally. He only questioned the system of governance. Why is she so afraid of Rahul is the relevant question in the political circles. Her party even defeated Congress in a recent by-election held in U.P. She reiterates against Congress that her party (BSP) is still unparalleled among tribal population. She also said her party has still the strong vote bank in Dalit bastion and Rahul’s magic won’t help the party any more.

If she is so confident why she is worried about a junior leader? Is it suitable for a senior leader to blame immature things on a young leader? Fear of young blood from Nehru dynasty! Remember, she is the one leader who dream to become our future Prime Minister. This kind of dirty politics is not good for a senior leader.

Priyanka called upon Nalini, the accused in her father’s murder case in the jail. She talked to her for one hour. Her visit became a controversial one too. Parties like BJP alleged her visit is also meant for political mileage. They tried to politicize the issue too. Those who are trying to attack her should at least remember her situation.

She and her family has suffered lot and is still struggling to recover from her father’s tragedy. Rajiv died for India. His mother and the strongest ever women leader of India Indira Gandhi also sacrificed her life for India’s unity. Priyanka’s act was a result of a broad visional attitude; an act of forgiveness and curiosity to know who made the plot to kill her father. This is an extraordinary vision that goes beyond the imagination of common folk. Even the accused and criminals, who had role in the killing, welcomed her attitude.

But the question is why some politicians try to tarnish the image of this family without any basis. Is it good to blame Priyanka’s visit, a political act since she is not involved in active politics and clarified the act was entirely personnel.

One thing to remember: To criticize this family for their every action is the result of envious dirty politics.
