Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless radio standard primarily designed for low power consumption, with a short range (up to 10 meters) with a low-cost transceiver microchip in each device.

It can be used to wirelessly connect peripherals like printers or keyboards to computers, or to have PDAs communicate with other nearby PDAs or computers. Bluetooth is not a standard on the desktop PC. However on laptops this is a desirable technology. USB based bluetooth is available for purchase for desktops too.
