MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION, daughter of the German MANN+HUMMEL group, has more than 40 years experience in engineering, manufacturing and installation of coolant filtration and swarf handling systems.
MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION offers tailor made solutions and serves the automotive, wire drawing and rolling mill market with a complete range of central coolant filtration sys-tems, auxiliary equipment, swarf handling systems or stand alone coolant filters for the individual CNC machine tools.
MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION is worldwide represented by its own branches in the USA (Louisville), Brazil (Indaiatuba) and China (Shanghai) or by agents in one of the locations of the MANN+HUMMEL group. The Hydromation headquarter is situated in Belgium (Tongeren).
MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION serves the market with:
Central coolant filtration systems:
pressure filters – HE, vacuum filters – HV, pre-coat filters – HP, fine filters – HF, bar or plate type magnetic separators, deep-bed filters
Auxiliary equipment that makes the central coolant filtration systems complete:
velocity trenching, push-bar / harpoon conveyors, paddle conveyors, return pump stations, top-up units for coolant, scraper and link conveyors, coolers, pressure regulation systems, high pressure supply systems.
Swarf handling:
crushers, centrifuges, hoppers and loading stations, sludge compactors
Individual coolant filters which are stand alone units for individual machining tools with filtration rates from 50 l/min up to 1,500 l/min:
vacuum filters – MT, gravity filters – PF, hydro-cyclones – HZ, link and scraper conveyors – GB-K, MagFlow magnetic separators – PA, automatic backwash cartridge, filter systems

MT-vacuum filters reduce running costs
MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION presents the MT-series vacuum filters. This range of filters is specifically designed to provide high-quality filtration to individual (CNC) machine tools. Because of its low profile and compact size, the filter adapts very well to existing machine tools. Incorporation into the machine tool builders’ design is also possible. The filter is a key asset to maximizing the productive use of expensive machines.
MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION – specializing in engineering, manufacturing and installing fully-automated coolant filtration and swarf handling systems – presents the MT-series vacuum. The filter offers significant advantages regarding separation efficiency, service life, running costs and process reliability.
The MT-filters are specifically designed for individual CNC machine tools. Because of its low profile and compact size, the filter adapts very well to existing machine tools. Incorporation into the machine tool builders’ design is also possible. MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION closely works with its customers to develop tailor-made solutions.
The MT-series vacuum filter is designed to separate a variety of the finest particles of metals – such as aluminum, steel cast irons and alloys – from coolants. Metal-cutting applications – e.g., turning, grinding, rough and finish machinery and honing – achieve a finer filtration and need less space when the MT filter is integrated. Flow rates vary from 50 to 1,500 litres per minute. The MT-filter is suitable for oil as well as emulsion and washing water.
One vertical, multi-stage, centrifugal pump pulls the dirty coolant through the filter media (disposable or permanent) removing the metal chips. A cake of particles quickly builds up on the filter surface and enhances removal of smaller particles. At a later stage, when the filter cake is saturated with these fine particles, thorough cleaning of the filter media is needed. This is achieved by using clean coolant, which, in case of permanent filter media, is combined with a brush. Once through the filter media, the coolant is stored into the clean coolant tank. The clean coolant can then be re-used. MANN+HUMMEL HYDROMATION also designs the desired pump configurations.
