But unlike this, the recent issue of illegal human trafficking by the Gujarat MP ‘Mr.BabuBai Kotare’ has shocked the nation. It is hard to cope with the fact those who came to power with our blessing are turning out to be our greatest headache.
People who were selected to do the country the favor of formulating laws to keep the nation calm and safe are increasingly ending up behind the bars for breaching it. The recent issue of the BJP and RSS supported MP from Gujarat ‘Mr.BabuBai Kotare’ being caught red handed for illegal human trafficking using his official diplomatic passport has unfurled the unholy nexuses of some MPs with the human trafficking mafia.
The issue has put the Indian Parliamentary system under dire suspicion. The anxiety of the public was well voiced by Lokhsabha speaker Somanath chatterji when he said “The credibility of the Indian parliamentary system has come under dire mistrust”. It was not long ago that about ten MPs were suspended for taking bribe to ask questions at the parliament.
BabuBai Kotare was using his official passport to traffic people to foreign countries. This time he was trying take aboard a lady and a child disguised as his wife and child when he was caught red handed. It is reported that the MP charged 30 lakh for flying people abroad. Great business buddy!. Those who were arrested in the issue have already spelled the names of many other MPs involved which include Ramsorup Kholi of rajastan(BJP), Muhammed Thahir Khan (BSP), Ashok Kumar Rawath, Mitra sen Yadav and many more.
It is understood that a travel agent named Rasheed Ali of Hyderabad worked as link between the Mafia and the customers. It was expected that the capture of this guy would end the shops of many ‘great’ people. But he has simply disappeared. Once can’t say it was unexpected because this is what always happens. The presence of criminals in politics is an agreed phenomena. Talking of prevention (honestly I don’t have any hope in the idea) the primary thing is preventing the criminals from entering the politics. Just have a look at some numbers to know how hopeless the situation is. 125 of 538 of 14th Loksabha were charged with criminal cases.
